Would You Like Some Pi? (Geek Test)

with 11 comments

I just found a site called 31415926535.com.

You’ll notice that the domain name is 10 digits of pi. When you go there, it starts with a blank page, and quickly starts filling in (you guessed it!) the digits of pi.

It looks like this:

pi

This site is really kind of a Geek Test:

If you said, “This is dumb” and left the page…you’re not a Geek.

If you thought it was mildly interesting, Dugg it, Stumbled it, and bookmarked it with del.icio.us…you’re a Geek.

If you looked at the source code then the javascript file that’s creating the page, and see that it will stop after “only” 9,874 digits of pi…you’re a Huge Geek.

If you sat up in your chair, hit “Reload”, and started racing the page (and won)…Congratulations! You’re a Mega Geek. Try going outside.

  5. How big of a geek are you if the first thing you noticed was that the site should have been done on a subdomain of 3 on the domain 1415926535.com? I mean, how lazy does one have to be to not realize that you can have http://3.1415926535.com?

  9. Red letters are picked at random every 0 to 100 numbers for some reason.
