The Mets put up this poll asking fans to vote for the 8th inning sing-a-long for the final season in Shea stadium.

The vote page was linked to by Digg (among other sites), where people were encouraged to write-in Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” After 5 million votes, it actually won!

Today’s game against my Phillies was the season opener at Shea stadium, and sure enough…the fans were Rickrolled!
