Before today, I was already looking forward to the release of Forgetting Sarah Marshall for a few reasons…

- The main character is played by Jason Segal, who’s in How I Met Your Mother, which is one of only two funny shows on TV.

- There are two hot girls in it who also both happen to be excellent comedic actors.

- Jonah Hill and Paul Rudd are in it, and it’s produced by Judd Apatow, a mondern day movie Midas.

Okay, so I already knew all that. So did you.

But there were two things in the last 10 hours or so that have now made me RIDICULOUSLY excited to see this movie…

1. I read a review that said “Without revealing the scene (because that would spoil the fun), this one has a shock value moment that is on par with Ben Stiller’s classic “Franks and Beans” scene from Something About Mary.” Awesome. That’s what comedy gold is made of. Whatever this is, I can’t wait to see it.

2. I found out that Russell Brand (the guy I’ve never heard of who plays Sarah Marshall’s new boyfriend), is funny as hell.

Recently, the cast did a video for FunnyOrDie.com where they were discussing their worst breakups.

Russell’s was comedy gold. I laughed my ass off. It’s funnier if you sit through the other ones first, but if you don’t have the patience, fast forward to 1:55 into it (40 seconds left) to hear Russell…

It hits theaters one week from today.
